Skirmish Season 14 Week 2 brings us even more results. This end of Compendium Silver Age metagame has coalesced quite clearly.
Last week's results surprised some, and the trends have continued into this week. The middle of the pack heroes have shuffled around somewhat, but the top tier heroes have continued to stay powerful in this series of events.
Skirmish Season 14 Week 2

Ira, Crimson Haze has quickly become the best deck in the format. We can clearly see she is more than twice as effective as the next winningest deck in the format, Iyslander.
Every other deck under the best 5 performers is spread out quite evenly.
Ira, Crimson Haze
The tempo Ninja gas cemented herself as the best deck in the format after these results. It's hard to dispute this at this point. The wider combat chains and possibility to disrupt with cards like Wreck Havoc and Humble all adds up to a lot of damage.
We see Ira as the best user of Pouncing Paws out of any Ninja in the format. The tiger is able to carry her +1 buff if it's the second attack. Couple this with other tiger making cards like Tiger Eye Reflex to be able to get the benefits of Tearing Shuko or Blood Scent.
Iyslander
The natural counter to high aggression is heavy disruption. Over the course of Skirmish Season 14, Iyslander has been gaining more and more play. Given how aggressive the metagame is, being able to slow down and tax aggressive decks like Ira and Briar is so essential for ensuring the health of the metagame.
The deck remains versatile. It can tempo with the best of them, by sending disruptive arcane on the opponent's turn, tall arcane on their own turn, and even tall attacks. There is a lot of merit to Iyslander in this metagame, as long as it stays this aggressive, the Ice Wizard will always have other decks to disrupt.
Kano
If Iyslander gets a benefit from dealing some amount of Arcane Damage on the opponent's turn, then Kano get's a lot of benefit from dealing lethal Arcane Damage on their turn.
The combo centric Wizard will always be a force for players to know about and respect going into a format where he's legal. The full suite of Emeritus Scolding alongside the usual low power Arcane effects mean that many decks that would otherwise convert full 5 card hands suddenly can't as they'd be taking lethal Arcane on their own turns.
Kano has an incredibly high skill ceiling to his play patterns. While that may warrant his win rate being high in a more competitive setting, at the local level like Skirmish, only the best might prevail.
Oldhim
Surprisingly, the heavy fatigue of Oldhim was the best performing deck of this week. With the proactive nature of decks like Ira, Briar, and even Kayo. By being able to block efficiently with Clash of Legs and Rootbound Carapace, and by staying up on life with Fruits of the Forest, it's difficult for any deck to get past that level of stonewalling.
Wrap Up
Skirmish Season 14 week 2 has given us all so much to consider in terms of which decks to vote out for the Omens season. We will all look to the coming weeks to see which decks are the best getters of results, and we can all reasonably guess that they'll be the first ones to go.
