The results are in, and Skirmish Season 14 has shown us just how far Silver age has evolved since the World Premier in London.
The moniker of Best Deck in format has bounced from Briar, to Kano, to Kayo, to Ira, Crimson Haze. We've seen counter picks rise and fall. This eclectic format has challenged all our preconceived notions, but has left many players wanting a shake up. With the voting and Omens coming, we can expect those shake ups.
Skirmish Season 14 Final Results

With over double the number of wins compared to her nearest rival, Ira has cemented herself as the best deck in the format. It's been said by other commentators that remember the old Commoner format, that unless you're not doing something inherently powerful, Ira is always poised to dominate the metagame.
It's taken numerous Showdown events, the Callings in London and Shanghai, and the results from week 1 and week 2, to show just how prevalent Ira has become.
Iyslander
The ice Wizard has been the breakout deck during this spread of events. We've seen her do well at rated events, but being the natural counter to the decks that want to be aggressively proactive into Ira and Briar, whilst offering the possibility of dealing lethal damage on the opponent's turn to close out the game after the aggro player over extends.
Recent Iyslander lists have been moving off of Aether Icevein and to a higher number of attack actions like Scar for a Scar and Ravenous Rabble to draw defences from their opponent and make the surprising arcane on their own turn all the more potent.
Oldhim
Despite the low spot on the pie chart, Oldhim has the best mathematical winrate across the previous in person events. By combining the overall win rate in Swiss events across the past 5 Showdowns and Calling Shanghai, Oldhim has a 60%~ win rate. This is because, as long as the Oldhim plays correctly, they're favoured into decks that present fair, physical damage such as Ira, Kayo, Briar, and other Guardian decks.
The areas in which Oldhim is at a disadvantage is into heavy Arcane. Kano, Iyslander, and even Florian all attack Oldhim on an axis that heavy Fatigue cannot answer. It is this overall staying power, and deeply unsatisfying gameplay experiences, that this reviewer will be voting for Oldhim when the windows to vote opens in a few weeks time.
Wrap Up
This is the first major store level event for Silver Age since Pro Quest Vegas. Legend Story Studios asked for Deck Lists from participants during Skirmish Season 14, and this will help them decide who they will bench alongside the community once Omens releases.
We can expect Ira and one of the Wizards to be removed, but I implore the readers to consult forums like this to see just how egregious the Elemental Guardian is, and cast him out when voting opens on Monday 25th.
